Day 10 - Pentecost Sunday – Be filled with the Spirit

VERSE: Acts 2:16,17  …this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:  ‘“In the last days,” God says, “I will pour out my Spirit on all people.”

THOUGHT: We are blessed to be living in the ‘last days’ when we can be filled with the Holy Spirit

TODAY: Pray for the Holy Spirit to draw the people on your prayer list closer to knowing him

DECIDE: Is someone on your prayer list searching for answers or spiritual experience but doesn’t know where to look?  What can you share with them? PRAY FOR THEM!

Day 9 - Saturday – Plans for prosperity

VERSE: Jeremiah 29:11  “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

THOUGHT: It’s comforting  that God knows each of us and has wonderful plans for our lives.

TODAY: Pray for God to reveal his plans to the people on your prayer list  

DECIDE: Is there something you can do for someone on your prayer list to help them prosper?

Day 8 - Friday – Peace not worry

VERSE: Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

THOUGHT: Becoming a Jesus follower challenges us to live free from cares and worries as we offer them to God.

TODAY: God is near and he is listening. Lift the worries of the people on your prayer list to him today.

DECIDE: Do you know if someone on your prayer list is experiencing worries? How can you encourage them to put aside their worries?

Day 7 - Thursday – Fearful moments

VERSE: Psalm 27:1  . The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid?

THOUGHT: We all experience fear; but with God our fears are put in perspective and seen in a different light

TODAY: ask God to protect the people on your prayer list from fears

DECIDE: Do you know that someone on your prayer list is fearful. How can you encourage them to live beyond their fears?

Day 6 - Wednesday – Satisfaction guaranteed

VERSE: John 6:35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. 

THOUGHT: Jesus promises to satisfy everyone who comes to him, whether hungry or thirsty

TODAY: Pray that God will show you how the people on your prayer list are hungry and thirsty for new life

DECIDE: what can you do to help someone on your prayer list begin their journey to having their spiritual hunger satisfied by God? – perhaps send them a link to a YouTube clip or send them a verse

Day 4 - Monday – Eternal Life

VERSE: John 6:37 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

THOUGHT: God wants all people to discover who Jesus is with eyes wide open and receive eternal life, starting today

TODAY: Pray for those on your mind this week, that as they continue to look for meaning and purpose in life they will see Jesus and discover a rich life of faith

DECIDE: Write down one thing you can do to help someone on your prayer list see more of who Jesus is

Day 3 - Sunday – Jesus prays today

VERSE: Hebrews 7:25 Jesus … is able to save to the uttermost  those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.’

THOUGHT:   Jesus intercedes for us - he is still the great pray-er;

TODAY: Ask Jesus to pray with you for the people on your prayer list

DECIDE: What can you do to show someone on your prayer list that you are praying for them in this lockdown – maybe send a card or a text perhaps or make a call

Day 1 - Friday – Standing in the Gap

VERSE: Ezekiel 22.30 “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land..”

THOUGHT: God is searching for those who would ‘stand in the gap’ and intercede for others. The invitation is to all Christians to pray for others. It is a choice, but it is also our privilege.

TODAY: Stand before God now on behalf of the people whose names you wrote down.

DECIDE: How can you show someone on your list that you are standing with them?
