Spending regular time with the people that matter most to us is one of the best ways we can show we love them. The same is true for God, who is like a parent to us.

God cares for us in many of the same ways as a parent, and on Mothering Sunday we remember and celebrate people who care for us, like our mothers, grandmothers and aunties.

Today we also remember and celebrate God, and spend time with Him, just as we might spend time with our families.
