It’s very easy to think of God as someone or something very big, very important and very far away from us – maybe living “up in heaven” looking down on us.

It’s true that God is very powerful and important, but he definitely isn’t so important and remote that he isn’t interested in us – he thinks of us as his sons & daughters. He’s interested in everything we do. He’s proud when we do well and he loves us and cares for everyone of us as if we were his very own child.

That’s pretty amazing – that someone as powerful as God, who created the whole world, loves us as our Father.
